About this lesson

Introducing Advanced Analytics—Click Tracking, Conversion Funnels, and A/B Testing, all built right into Framer. With this update to Framer’s analytics, it’s now much easier to gain actionable insights for your site. You can track clicks on links and form submissions, and use that data to build and view conversion funnels to analyze how specific pages perform. Want to improve your conversion rates? Set up A/B tests to validate your designs and assumptions—all without slowing down your site, without flickering or layout shifts, and without writing a single line of code. These features are available on the Business plans through the Advanced Analytics add-on. You can try it for free for the first 30 days. If your site is on an Enterprise plan, it’s billed based on usage.

0:00Today, analytics take a massive leap0:02forward in Framer, starting with0:05funnels. When analyzing conversion0:08rates, you need something specific to0:10track. That's why you'll now see a0:12tracking ID field when selecting linked0:14elements like buttons. Framework will0:17suggest an ID based on context, but you0:20can change it to whatever you like.0:22Since we have multiple buttons linking0:24to the get started page, we'll assign0:26unique IDs to each. Then we'll head over0:30to analytics and create a new0:34funnel. To track clicks, we simply add0:37the IDs we've already set up. This gives0:40us a clear picture of how our page is0:42performing, which is great because now0:45it's time to optimize with AB testing in0:49Framer. When you start a test, Framer0:52will create a duplicate variant0:54automatically. Let's say we want to test0:56a dark version of this page. We'll make0:58the changes directly on that variant,1:01then hit configure. Just like with1:03funnels, we'll define the steps we want1:05to measure. When you're ready, publish1:08the site. Half of your visitors will see1:10the control variant. The other half will1:13see the test variant. Framework begins1:15collecting results immediately. If1:17enough data is collected, the winner is1:20automatically chosen at 90% certainty.1:23If not, you'll get an estimate of how1:25long it'll take based on current1:26traffic. When you're confident, stop the1:29test and apply the winning variant. This1:31is the fastest and simplest way to go1:34deeper with analytics and testing. No1:36code required. Advanced analytics are1:39free to try on every business plan and1:41fully available on all enterprise plans.
