0:00Taking your site live can be as easy as0:02just smashing the publish button, but0:04depending on what you've built, it's0:06important to choose the right site plan.0:08You don't need to make any decisions0:10yet, but in this lesson, we'll take a0:12highle look at the considerations you'll0:14want to make when choosing a plan for0:16your0:19site. Let's start with the site plan0:22you're already on, the free plan. I'm0:25sure you've discovered by this point in0:26the course that you haven't had to pay0:28anything. In fact, you can build and0:30test as many projects as you like,0:33completely free. And you can even0:35publish your site for free at any moment0:37with the publish button in the top right0:39corner of the screen. You'll just be0:40limited to a framer subdomain and have a0:43little made in framer badge until you0:45decide to upgrade your plan. But even0:48for free, you can currently create up to0:50a,000 pages and 10 CMS collections. And0:53on top of that, you get the security of0:55a free SSL certificate, a monthly0:58bandwidth allowance of 100 megabytes,1:00and up to a,000 visitors per month,1:03which is often enough for small personal1:05projects, portfolios, coming soon pages,1:08and of course, framer templates. And if1:11you happen to hit your monthly visitor1:12limit, we'll let you know. You'll get a1:15heads up via email with the details, and1:16from there, you can decide if it's time1:19to upgrade or not. With the free plan,1:21you'll also see an upgrade button at the1:24bottom of the canvas. But no matter1:25what, you can always go to the site1:27settings and click the plans tab to see1:29all of your options, what they cost, and1:32what's included. You'll also see if1:34you've already built something that1:36exceeds the limits of a plan, which1:38helps take out some of the guesswork.1:40Then it's just a matter of clicking1:41subscribe and following the steps to1:43complete the payment process. Easy1:45peasy. If you're upgrading from a lower1:47tier paid plan to a higher tier plan1:50within a billing period, the system1:52considers the amount you've already paid1:54for the current period. So, you'll1:56automatically be credited for the unused1:58portion of your current subscription. On2:01that note, rather than talking through2:03the exact plans and pricing of today,2:06which could of course be different by2:07the time you watch this video, I think2:09it would be more valuable to give you an2:11overall sense of what factors to2:13consider when choosing which plan to2:15upgrade to. The first thing to consider2:18is hosting limits. Take a look at how2:20many pages, CMS collections, local, days2:24of version history, and form submissions2:27each plan has to offer, and limits like2:30max upload size, bandwidth, and total2:33storage. Then there are some features2:35that are either included or not2:37depending on which plan you choose. I'll2:39break a few of them down. One is draft2:42pages, which let us work on individual2:44pages without publishing them until we2:47decide they're ready. Another is2:49staging, which allows us to test and2:51review changes to our site at a separate2:54URL before deciding to deploy and go2:57live. Then there's site password2:59protection, which lets us lock down an3:02entire site so unauthorized users can't3:04access any content and redirects to take3:08control of routing traffic from old URLs3:10to new ones. If not having one of these3:13is a dealbreaker, then it'll be that3:15much easier to rule out the plans that3:17won't work for you. There are also3:19things like UTM tracking for forms,3:21additional CDN locations, custom3:23proxies, and even more when you get into3:26enterprise territory. And when you do3:28move your way up into business and3:30enterprise plans, you'll find that3:31support and training get ramped up, too.3:34And naturally, sites on enterprise plans3:36get improvements across the board for3:38limits and hosting, including a premium3:41CDN and custom proxy. Enterprise plans3:45also have the option of custom billing3:47and MSAs, SSO and access controls, and3:51SOCK 2 and ISO 27,0001 certifications.3:55The last factor to consider is how many3:57editors you'll want collaborating in3:59your workspace or projects. As the owner4:02of a site project, your editor seat is4:04always included for free. Additional4:06editors are build per editor per month4:09and can be added at any time. We'll of4:12course notify you when an editor is4:14added to your billing and you won't be4:16charged until the next renewal date of4:18your monthly billing cycle. Just note4:20that editors will be charged and limited4:23according to the highest tier site plan4:25in the workspace. And there you have it.4:28Now you know how much Framer gives you4:30for free and you've got a pretty good4:32idea of what to consider when choosing a4:35plan for your site. Again, we're always4:37adding new features. So for the most4:39up-to-date information, be sure to check4:41our pricing page or the pricing found4:43directly within Framer itself. That's it4:46for this one. I'll see you in the next4:48one where we'll look at publishing and4:49connecting a custom domain.
