About this lesson

This update allows you to restore fully responsive layouts from the past. When using Version History to copy a section, Framer now automatically imports its breakpoints too — and if the existing ones are different, they will be automatically updated. The update also makes loading versions in the panel faster, as well as optimizing the viewing experience of older versions. 0:00yo this is not Benjamin I'm sorry about 0:03that 0:04when you create a website you most 0:05probably go through quite a few 0:07iterations before landing on its desired 0:09State when making those it's easy to 0:11lose something on the way that you might 0:13want to recover later 0:15to prevent you from losing content in 0:17those cases we added version history 0:20you can enable it via the app menu under 0:23file version history or with the 0:25shortcuts command shift H or Mac or Ctrl 0:28shift h on Windows and of course you can 0:30also find it in the quick actions menu 0:32by hitting command k 0:34once enabled you'll see versions that 0:37are saved approximately every 10 minutes 0:39of active editing by you or your 0:42collaborators 0:43for instance in this pricing section I 0:46lost a card along the way 0:48and I would like to bring it back so I'm 0:51going to select a previous version that 0:53has such card 0:54then click it 0:57copy with common C 0:59select the latest version 1:02and then within that stack command V to 1:05paste my card and here it is 1:08so bringing back elements is easy but 1:11what about entire sections for instance 1:14I had a FAQ section over here 1:16that I lost along the way so let me try 1:20to find it back 1:22it seems to be not in this version 1:25also not in this one 1:28maybe yes there it is it's this one over 1:31here 1:32so if I select the section entirely and 1:35then come and see 1:37go to the latest version 1:39select the primary breakpoint and common 1:42voila let me drag it above the footer 1:48and then I want to show you something 1:49else 1:51because I remember this FAQ section in 1:53dark mode somewhere here 1:57there it is 1:59if I copy paste the section in dark mode 2:01right now and then I go to latest 2:05I click again the FAQ section and 2:09comment me to paste 2:11framework this time will recognize that 2:14the section is already there and will 2:16ask me if I want to paste it as a new 2:19layer or replace it instead 2:23and if I hit replace the section will be 2:25automatically updated with the one I'm 2:28pasting even maintaining the breakpoints 2:30of that particular section intact 2:33that's pretty handy 2:36we really hope this feature will help 2:38prevent losing hours of work and are 2:40looking forward to improve it further so 2:43if you have time come join the community 2:45in Discord to share your feedback and 2:47help us make it even better 2:49[Music]2:50foreign
