0:00hey in this video I'm going to show you 0:01how to use a framer template so if you 0:04head over to framer 0:08docomo over a thousand templates uh some 0:11of them are free some of them are paid 0:13but you can basically find uh a ton of 0:16templates for different use cases that 0:18um might shoot your needs so I've 0:20already found this template called nanoc 0:22card which I really like it is a free 0:25template so I'm going to click on use 0:27for free if you purchase a template um 0:30upon purchase most of the time you will 0:31get an email with a link to open the 0:35template um but I'm just going to click 0:37on use free and what this is going to do 0:40is it is essentially going to create a 0:42copy of that project uh in my dashboard 0:45so now I have a copy of the project uh 0:48in my own account and what templates are 0:52in framer are essentially just uh 0:54projects that people have made and uh 0:56when you open them you get a copy of 0:58that project so there there's no 1:00applying of templates to different 1:02projects or applying of styles uh you 1:05basically open a project uh and that is 1:07your template but uh with this project 1:10open I can go in and basically edit 1:12anything as you would in any other 1:14project so I can change this text to my 1:18amazing website for example uh I can go 1:22in and change images or move the images 1:25around or change them uh I can change 1:27anything in this project as you would in 1:29any other project so just going to 1:31change the color on this element uh 1:34through the UI here so maybe make this a 1:36little bit more purple or 1:38pink um and that is basically how you 1:41edit a project or a template in framer 1:45now if you're ready you can go ahead and 1:47publish this project as a website so I'm 1:50going to click on publish and this is 1:52now published on a free domain but um 1:56let's say you want to upgrade this 1:58template to a paid plan so you can 2:01attach a custom domain you can either go 2:04to the project settings or you can click 2:05on as add custom domain so I'm going to 2:07click on the project settings and then 2:09head over to the pl Tab and this is 2:14where you can upgrade this project so 2:16you can attach a custom domain or you 2:18can UNL unlock additional features So 2:21based on how many visitors maybe you're 2:23expecting on your website or uh any 2:26other extra features you might want to 2:28add uh on a PID plan so you want to add 2:32the any of these paid plans to uh your 2:35project if you already have a project 2:37that has a paid plan attached to it uh 2:40please reach out to support fram.com so 2:43that we can move it to the template 2:45project that you might have purchased or 2:47have used for free uh so that you can 2:49use that project as your website uh and 2:53that is how you use a template in framer 2:55thanks for 2:57watching
