About this lesson

The September Update introduces completely reengineered Pages and Assets panels, unlocking multi-selection, multi-insertion, and bulk actions like drafting, deletion, and more. You can now move and change the paths of multiple Pages in a single go, making it infinitely easier to work with larger websites in Framer. And you now can delete, draft, and un-draft multiple Pages at once. For Assets, multi-selection means keeping your Components, Styles, and Vector Sets organised is now a breeze. Plus, this update unlocks new workflows like the ability to insert multiple Components at once. Massive productivity unlocks all-around. 0:00Yo, my name is Benjamin and this is 0:03multi select for pages and assets. Let's 0:06dive right in. Folders in framer are now 0:10also directly selectable. And by holding 0:13either command on Mac or control on 0:16Windows or shift, we can select multiple 0:20pages and edit them in a single go. For 0:23example, here we can rightclick to wrap 0:27our selection in a new folder. As these 0:30are pages, this effectively allows us to 0:33change the URL of many subpages at once.0:37And of course, it also helps us maintain 0:39our project by letting us mass delete 0:42old pages. Besides quickly changing the 0:46page structure and deleting old pages,0:49multi selection is also useful for 0:52quickly undrafting multiple pages when 0:54you're ready to go live. Next, we've 0:57also made multi select work with drag 1:00and drop, letting you define your site 1:03structure in a more natural way. Here,1:06I'll select a few pages and then I'll 1:08simply drag them onto the 2024 page.1:12turning my selected pages into subpages.1:16All in all, these changes make it much 1:18easier to manage larger sites with many 1:22pages. However, these larger sites often 1:25also have tons of assets, and multi 1:29select makes it much easier to clean up 1:31projects like this. For demo purposes,1:35I'll simply go ahead and wrap them all 1:37in a single subfolder, selecting 103 1:42components at once and then dragging 1:44them onto the archive folder. And there 1:47we go. That's much better. Now, on the 1:50canvas here, we're looking at a brand 1:53new page using a layout template. That's 1:56why we have a navigation, a call to 1:59action, and a footer. One of the coolest 2:02new use cases we've unlocked here is the 2:05ability to insert multiple assets at 2:08once. I'll drag and drop these right 2:11onto our page. And just like that, we 2:15have created a foundation for a new 2:17landing page ready for us to customize.2:21That's multi select for pages and assets 2:25in Framer.
