About this lesson

The October Update brings over 30 improvements and fixes, featuring three key additions. Firstly, we’ve refreshed our Color Picker, which now splits the values of your RGB and HSL colors for much easier editing. Secondly, you can now drag and drop videos directly onto the Canvas to quickly add and upload new videos while preserving the source file’s aspect ratio. Thirdly, we’ve improved all the copy and pasting workflows of Effects. You can now right-click on any Effect property to copy or paste it, saving you a whole bunch of clicks. 0:00yo my name is Benjamin and in this video 0:03I'll cover three things we added to 0:05framer in the October update first you 0:08can now drag and drop videos directly 0:10onto the canvas to add new videos to 0:13your pages and we also respect the 0:16aspect ratio of your source file in the 0:18process so you can get started right 0:20away and I'll open the preview to show 0:23you that yes we indeed have an autop 0:26playing video here added to our framer 0:29page and this also works when using the 0:31copy and paste shortcuts next up effects 0:35we improved copy and pasting of effects 0:38throughout the app so let's say we have 0:40a header here and we wanted to give it a 0:43unique appear effect I can spend some 0:45time customizing the properties and then 0:48even customizing the spring curve but 0:51once I'm done I might want to add this 0:53to another 0:56layer so now I can right click on the 0:59effect in the the property panel hit 1:01copy select my second layer right click 1:05on effects and then hit paste so this 1:09even works if your selection doesn't 1:11have an appear effect just 1:13yet so if we now were to go back and 1:16customize the first appear effect let's 1:19say we wanted to add a y set of 30 1:22instead we can do the same thing even 1:25though our second layer already has an 1:27appear effect applied this time we can 1:30right click on the existing effect to 1:32paste over it and thus updating it as 1:35you can see our second layer now also 1:38has the offset of 30 so that was effects 1:41copy and pasting and last but not least 1:44we refreshed the Color Picker we now 1:47have a new split control for your color 1:50values allowing easier editing of RGB 1:54and hsl colors specifically so I can now 1:57hit the Tab Key to cycle between 2:00individual values and then use the arrow 2:03keys to either increment or decrement we 2:07can use the drop down on the right to 2:09switch to hsl for example and same thing 2:13here like I could play with the U value 2:17separately now and all in all this is a 2:20nice bit of Polish to our Color Picker 2:22that was requested Often by the 2:25community so those were three highlights 2:28from this month's framer update there's 2:31over 30 changes in this release so 2:34please go to framer 2:36docomo to check out everything that we 2:39improved and that's it for this video 2:42thank you so much for watching and stay 2:44tuned for more updates coming 2:49[Music]2:52soon
