AI translations aren’t always perfect. Company names, slogans, and terms can get mistranslated or changed when they shouldn’t. With the Glossary feature, you can define exactly how specific terms should be handled across your site. Each term can be one or more words, case sensitive, and optionally translated. When 'Translatable' is on, you can provide the exact translation per locale. This ensures consistency across every version of your site, no matter the language. It’s especially useful for brand terminology, recurring phrases, or words you want full control over. No more fighting the AI to get the perfect translation every single time. 0:00[Music]0:01Hi everyone, this is Edo from Framer and 0:04today I want to show you a new feature 0:06we added to localization which is 0:08glossery. To show you how it works, I 0:11translated my example site into a few 0:13languages. And while doing so, I 0:16realized that a company name like 0:18framework gets translated too, which 0:20obviously I don't want. Now, up until 0:23today, as a workaround, you could go 0:25into localization settings and under AI 0:28style, you could add a sentence like 0:31never translate the word framer or 0:34translate this word into something 0:36specific. But this was not really 0:38scalable. So, I'm not going to use this 0:40and I'm going to show you something much 0:42better instead, which is glossery.0:46This new glossaryy feature is a great 0:48way to ensure your terms are always 0:50translated exactly the way you want. And 0:53to show you, I'm going to add a new term 0:54and call it framer. There is a 0:57description that I'm going to leave 0:59empty. And I'm also leaving case 1:00sensitive to yes. And I'm going to 1:03switch translatable to no. This means 1:05that the term framer will never be 1:08translated into other languages. And to 1:10show you, I'm going to use AI translate,1:13which now regenerates the title of my 1:16blog post. And you can see framer is not 1:19translated anymore, which is great. But 1:22there is this other part of the 1:23sentence, which is about framer 1:25localization that is not really 1:26translated in a natural way, and I want 1:29to make sure it's always translated the 1:31way I want across the entire site. So I 1:34go to the glossaryy again, hit the plus 1:37button and add framer localization as a 1:42term. And by leaving the translatable 1:45option to yes, you can add specific 1:47translations for each locale of your 1:50site. So I'm going to add a translation 1:54for the Italian language exactly the way 1:56I want it.1:59When I'm done and I dismiss the model, I 2:02rerun an AI translation and I see that 2:05this time is really respecting the terms 2:07I added to the glossery, which 2:09contributes to a much much better 2:11translation.2:13We built the localization glossery with 2:16scalability in mind so that you and your 2:18team can keep adding terms and they will 2:21be easy to find and searchable at any 2:23moment.
