0:00Components let us easily maintain the 0:02content or style of elements that repeat 0:05[music] tens or even hundreds of times 0:08throughout our site. They're a 0:10lifesaver. But sometimes we want to 0:12build a whole new component [music]0:14that's meant to replace an old one. But 0:17then do we have to go on a scavenger 0:18hunt replacing [music] every instance of 0:21the new one with the old one? Absolutely 0:23not. [music] There's a trick which is 0:25why we're here. Let's say I want to 0:27replace last year's promo banner with a 0:30whole new one. [music] It's a completely 0:32different design, so it really doesn't 0:34make sense for it to just be a variant 0:36of the [music] original component. So,0:38the new banner is a whole new component.0:41Now, on to swapping out all the old ones 0:43[music] with the new one. All we need to 0:45do is rightclick any instance of the old 0:47component on the canvas. And we can 0:49either choose [music] replace with to 0:51swap just this one instance with a 0:53different component or replace all 0:55instances [music] with to replace 0:57absolutely every instance of this 0:59component across the entire site. So I 1:02can choose my new [music] banner and I 1:05get a dialogue that I'm about to replace 1:06a certain number of instances of [music]1:08this projectwide. I'll click confirm and 1:12it's a done [music] deal. Every single 1:14promotional banner on my entire site has 1:16now been replaced with a new one. And 1:18the best part is that we can swap back 1:20at any time in [music] the future with 1:22no headaches whatsoever. That's it for 1:24this framer quick tip.
